Headphones 3.0 spk

Here is an upgrade of Headphones. It will bring a nice icon for DSM 3.2 users, and change the way the installation is done: this spk does not include Headphones any more, it will be downloaded from GitHub when you install it. That means that you will have an up to date version, whenever you install it. You can download it here.

It addresses the following issues:

(3.0) Add icon for DSM3.2 users.
(3.0) Don’t include the source code of Headphones, but download it from GitHub at installation time.
(3.0) When upgrading the spk, clean up the update history file to enforce an application upgrade.

This spk requires my Python spk to work correctly. The dependency will be checked at the installation time, and you will be redirected to the download page if it is missing. You must install at least version 2.6.6 4.

Tested with DSM 3.2 1922, on a DS408 and a DS210j. Not tested on DSM 3.1 or older, but it should work. Please report success and failure, as you always do.

The package is 50kB, it will download 1MB from GitHub, and install 4MB on your NAS. It will grow to 6MB at the first start (python compiled files), and more due to cache files and logs. All is cleanly removed when the package is removed.

The package is compressed using xz, and supports all the NAS supported by Python spk, i.e. all the NAS from the x07 to x11 series. No changes were made to the source code. Specific scripts to the Synology DSM were added.

Hey Zeb or anyone else.
Im wondering if you can help, I did a fresh install of Headphones now im getting this error:
Could not create folder for 3 Doors Down. Not moving: [Errno 13] Permission denied: ‘/volume1/music/

I have checked the permissions of the shared folder, and made sure the user ‘headphones’ has read/write permissions…

Im not sure what else to do, can you help?
I have done another fresh install and same error during post-processing…
I have already restarted my NAS too.

That folder had the incorrect permissions from the previous user.

Result: Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to [mySyno]:8181

Have SB/CP/SB working perfectly (also spotweb), thnx a lot !!!
Headphones would make it complete, anybody any idea?

I have installed the 3.0 SPK but when I go to scan the music library with Headphones located in /volume1/Music/mp3/Albums all I see in the logs is this 2011-09-15 12:45:59 INFO Scanning music directory: /volume1/Music/mp3/Albums and nothing on the home page.

I’m using a Synology 1511 with 3.2 and version e9a1e5522a04268690edf2c921906bdafc95c3a7 of headphones.

I have given headphones access the /volume1/Music/mp3/Albums

Any tips for what I’m doing wrong?

Ahh well who know’s came to my PC this morning saw SAB had randomly downloaded an album and it appears the headphones scan completed. Dont know why it downloaded an album randomly though.

Yeah my DS115+ worked took a while on my 90+ GB of MP3′s the logs just didn’t show any progress then all of a sudden it finished the next time i Looked. .

Using too much CPU for me on a general basis on my DS210j, often peaking out for hours with whatever stuff its doing. The design still looks utterly crap as well and don’t seem to be much work going on (or at least too slow for me). Sadly it can be great but they got a lot to do before that. e.g. taking way more from sick beards design.

Installed the 3.1-1 version.
I always change the RUNAS variable in the other packages, because I want to run as root. Usually works fine, but the headphones-ctl file is a copied version of the couchpotato-ctl. So a litte mistake there in the Headphones package

Where can I find the headphones-ctl file? I tried to change the RUNAS in /usr/local/etc/rc.d/Headphones.sh,Headphones.sh, but change is removed again when package is started.

I have noticed that DSM account headphones is removed (but ID is kept) by installation script. This account is not created again, but used when package is started (RUNAS). I want to create the DSM account headphones again in DSM but get an error message (because ID already exists). How can I activate the account again?

Hi all

I have installed your python spk (although mertymades is already there, as I am using his sabnzbd package) and the headphones spk.

Seems everything runs quite good on my DS207+ (DSM 3.1). The only thing which does not works is headphones (latest package from you).

Mainly if I try to add an album to my wanted list, then following error message is shown:
