Transmission 2.33 spk

Transmission 2.33 was release last week with some fixes. It can be downloaded here. See the official change log for what’s new.

Tested with DSM 3.1 1748, on a DS408 and a DS210j. Not tested on DSM 3.0, but it should work. Please report success and failure, as you always do.

The package is about 5.8MB, and the install size less than 7MB. The package is compressed using xz, and that only the binaries for the underlying architecture are extracted and actually installed on the NAS. It supports all the NAS from the x07 to x11 series.

Build with transmission 2.33, openssl 1.0.0c, libevent 2.0.10, curl 7.21.3 and zlib 1.2.5. No changes were made to the source code, only usual build configuration. Specific scripts to the Synology DSM were also added.

Hi,

Im getting cpu usage 90% when using this on my newly bought DS211j. Cpu usage is this high already when only ONE TORRENT is downloading. Same thing happens if i try using the built in download station.

My setup is DSM 3.2 , 2x Samsung F4 2TB in JBOD, cat 6 cable to gigabit router Dlink dir 655 and 100/100 Mbit connection.

Actually this problem (#48) persists only as long as i restart the Transmission service, so it is not a tracker issue… as you can imagine this is not very convenient to restart the service every time I added a torrent from a private tracker… so… any clues or maybe a fix for upcoming versions? If i can provide logs or anything to see if this is a bug, please let me know @zebulon!

Issue described in #48 can be resolved when the torrent is added manually via Open torrent and uncheck Start when added; btw is there a way to limit up/down speed on individual torrents? Anway thx for providing Transmission!

I have a question though: How can I add more trackers to a torrent using the WebGUI, is this possible?

An up to date version of transmission would really be appreciated. The last version you uploaded has been banned from several trackers I use.

My DS207+ running DSM 3.1.1636 crashes frequently when running the Transmission 2.42-2. When this happens it is not possible to connect to the DS207+ in any way, not even using SSH, only option is to power cycle the unit As it seems, it crashes more often when there is a download in progress.
